What are Content Buckets, and Why Do You Need Them?

So to be completely honest, this may be a totally made up term. But, it's one that we at RISE Creative use on a daily basis, and it's proven extremely helpful for our clients in strategizing their content. 

Content Bucket {n}: as defined by the RISE Creative Co. Dictionary - a topic of content that heavily relates to your target audience member.

The first step in creating a social media strategy is figuring out what exactly you're going to post. These types of content are what we refer to as content buckets. There are a few steps you can take to develop relevant content buckets for your brand. 

1. Know Your Target Audience Member - and know them well! Their interests, their dislikes, their passions, getting to know what they're looking for will help you in strategizing what to post. 

2. Create Content from their Perspective - When we first launched, my first instinct was to post all of our client success stories. I soon had to re-evaluate and realize that my audience members are small business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, a large percentage women, and often mothers. I needed to cater to that audience through business advice, inspiring quotes, and some fun client projects here and there. 

3. Identify Inspiration Accounts - If you're feeling stuck, find other accounts that you often gravitate towards and use those as inspiration.
