As business owners, it’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day work behind the desk, or behind the sewing machine, and lose sight of the missions we’re all supporting.

This past week, we had the opportunity to reflect on RISE as a business, why we started, what we’re passionate about, and who we want to serve, and the phrase that occurred to me over and over again, was Tell Their Story. The story of artisans, the story of makers, and the story of changemakers.

You may have noticed, on our website and throughout our social media, that we’ve start to use the hashtag #TellTheirStory. Moving forward this year, we want that to be the basis of any content we post, to showcase the stories of artisans, of creators, of opportunity and progress. From now on, our content will be geared more towards shedding light on the pioneers of change and the innovators of creativity.

Our first step towards this new goal will be using our social media to promote #WorldChangerWednesday to highlight those standing up to make a difference. You’ll notice this past week, we highlighted the workers in Bangladesh who are standing up for fair payment. We’d welcome any contributions or stories that you’d like to share and thank you for being on this journey with us!
