Our Ethics Statement
Last week, we released a statement on social media and on our website that documents our ethics as a company. The term "ethical fashion" has so many meanings, from fair trade, to sustainable, eco-friendly, cruelty free, and more. However, there had been many instances where our own values as a company had come up in the back of my mind.
The entire reason that I left the corporate fashion industry to pursue a career serving ethical brands was because of people. My experiences and studies led me to be heartbroken for the people who are mistreated by this industry. I wanted to solve that problem through the only passion I've had my entire life, fashion.
Therefore, while sustainability, eco-friendliness, vegan, and cruelty free products are all making a huge impact on the values of this industry, as a company, I felt we wouldn't be 100% authentic if we didn't value people above all else.
This doesn't just include the people making our clothing, but every person involved in this industry, from bloggers who work extremely hard to create content, to brand owners putting their all into building a purpose-driven brand.
